About the Plymouth Sound & Tamar Estuaries

From iconic views and a diverse abundance of marine life, to its proud naval heritage and long history of maritime exploration and research, the Plymouth Sound & Tamar Estuaries Marine Protected Area (MPA) is a unique place that balances commercial interests, defence, travel, recreation and conservation. It is an area of international marine importance and we all play a part in preserving it, now and for the future.
